Ring Set with 2,525 Diamonds Enters Guinness Book of World Records
A diamond ring studded with 2,525 glittering diamonds has made it to the Guinness Book of World Records for having the most diamonds set in one ring.
Coined the Tsarevna Swan, the ring has been created by Ukraine-based Lobortas Classic Jewelry House and has been priced at $1.3 million. The ring was first presented by the jewelry house and measured in Kiev July 21, 2011.
Following the display at Kiev, the ring will be showcased in different exhibitions across the globe.
The 2,525 diamonds encrusted on the ring vary from 0.001-0.05 carats with a total weight of 10.48 carats.
According to reports, all the diamonds have been crafted over an 18k white gold ring and are G color and range from VVS2 to VS1 in clarity. The diamonds have been supplied by Shrenuj Group, a diamond and diamond jewelry manufacturer based in Mumbai, India.
Lobortas has revealed that design and development of the ring took 530 hours, while fabrication took 3,625 hours.
