‘Riverdale’ Star Lili Reinhart Flies Solo Following Cole Sprouse Breakup

“Riverdale” star Lili Reinhart was spotted catching a flight out of Vancouver, Canada this weekend after her reported split from her on-screen lover and real-life ex-boyfriend Cole Sprouse.

On Saturday, Reinhart was photographed arriving at the Vancouver airport in what seemed to be a rather gloomy ensemble comprising a black t-shirt that’s tucked into a high-waisted acid wash denim jeans, a black denim jacket with silver buttons, and a pair of white FILA tennis shoes.

The 22-year-old also opted to cover hear eyes by wearing a pair of very dark sunglasses. She had her blonde tresses pulled back in a tight bun, and she carried a large backpack over her left shoulder.

Reinhart, who stars in the Jennifer Lopez-led “Hustlers” movie, appeared somber when she stepped out of her ride upon arriving at the airport. She quickly carried her luggage inside and looked for her flight.

On Monday, Us Weekly broke the news that Reinhart and Sprouse have decided to part ways after nearly two years of being together as an exclusively dating couple. Multiple sources confirmed to the entertainment news outlet that the actors, who play Betty and Jughead on The CW’s Archie Comics-inspired series, have quietly broken up.

Their split seemed evident when they showed up at the Entertainment Weekly Comic-Con party in San Diego last weekend because they noticeably kept their distance from each other. Sources said they were rarely together at the event as they opted to mingle with their co-stars at different times.

According to an E! News insider, it was Sprouse who initiated the split earlier this summer. The two allegedly got into an argument while taking a break from filming their show, and this was said to be the final nail in the coffin in their relationship.

“Their relationship has always been up and down. They split this time after an argument while on their break from filming. Cole decided to end the relationship,” the insider said.

Reinhart and the “Suite Life of Zack and Cody” alum were first linked back in July 2017 when they were spotted kissing at Comic-Con. They then confirmed the romance rumors by making their red carpet debut as a couple at the Met Gala in New York City in May 2018.

“Riverdale” Season 4 is set to premiere in October on The CW.
