‘The Roast Of Rob Lowe’: When And Where To Watch The Comedy Central Special Featuring David Spade, Jeff Ross And More

Comedy Central is gearing up for yet another brutal roast. In 2015 they called in a group of talented comedians — and Martha Stewart — to take jabs at Justin Bieber. This year the network is pulling out all the stops for the “Comedy Central Roast of Rob Lowe.”

The special, which is slated to run over an hour and a half, will be hosted by David Spade. Jeff Ross, Nikki Glaser, Peyton Manning, Jewel, Rob Riggle, Jimmy Carr, Pete Davidson, Ann Coulter and many more will also take the stage to take aim at Lowe and their co-roasters. In fact multiple reports, including one from Variety on August 28, suggests that Coulter bore the brunt of a majority of the jokes throughout the night. Previews for the show depict a few jokes at Lowe’s expense — most of which mock his status as an 80s teen heart throb, the sex tape he made with a minor and his frequent sitcom appearances — with the more intense jokes being hurled at the political commentator. The network released two clips from “The Comedy Central Roast of Rob Lowe,” both of which show roasters firing at Coulter for aligning herself with presidential hopeful Donald Trump.

The show will air on Comedy Central on Monday at 10 p.m. EDT. Viewers can catch reruns Tuesday, September 6 at midnight and 2:08 a.m. EDT. You can also catch the “Comedy Central Roast of Rob Lowe” on the Comedy Central app and online. No subscription is necessary.

Lowe’s roast plans were announced in June. Comedy Central president Ken Alterman praised the “Grinder” star in a press release before saying that it was his time to sit in the hot seat on the “Comedy Central Roast” stage. Lowe echoed Alterman’s sentiments, telling fans that he was looking forward “to once again be following in Justin Bieber’s footsteps.”

“I look forward to a night of hilarious jokes recycled from the James Franco Roast. I would like to express my gratitude to the members of my family who have passed away and therefore will not have to endure what promises to be a very special evening,” Lowe said.
