Rob Ford's Wife Renata Is 'Not Impressed:' Twitter Reacts To Her McKayla Maroney Moment
Renata Ford, the most likely embarrassed wife of Rob Ford, made the “not impressed” face during the Toronto mayor’s latest humiliating press conference Thursday. It’s the practically the same look that was made infamous by American gymnast McKayla Maroney after she appeared to be none too thrilled with winning the silver medal for vaulting at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Ford’s latest apology is for the “graphic language” he used during a rant about oral sex. He and his wife Renata (nee Brejniak) have been married since 2000, the Daily Mail wrote. The couple met in high school and have two children, Doug and Stephanie.
Ford’s comments were more than “NSFW,” but when he was accused of having oral sex with staffer Olivia Gondek, he shot back that he had “more than enough eat at home.” Naturally, it didn’t take long for Ford to apologize, and even though Renata stood at his side she didn’t seem too happy.
"The revelations yesterday of cocaine, escorts, prostitution has pushed me over the line, and I used unforgivable language, and again I apologize," the mayor said in a news conference after the lewd remark. "These allegations are 100 percent lies. Today I acted on complete impulse in my remarks."
Renata hung her head low and scrunched her mouth to the side as her husband of more than a decade try to make amends for his comments, blaming them on stress. Ford has been under fire the last six months for using crack cocaine, which he has now admitted.
Twitter took notice of Renata’s face during the press conference, and many took to the social media site to discuss her spot-on Maroney impression. Check out what the Twitterati had to say below:
