Rob Kardashian Diabetes Rumor: Recluse Needs To 'Change The Way He Eats,' Source Says
Former “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star Rob Kardashian desperately needs to change his way of life, People magazine wrote in an exclusive report Wednesday. The reclusive reality star was reportedly diagnosed with diabetes a day earlier.
Kardashian, 28, has been absent from “KUWTK” and the public eye for the past two years while he battled depression and a supposed 100-pound weight gain. He was reportedly forced to go to the hospital Tuesday after he fell ill on Christmas and his condition worsened.
His unhealthy lifestyle apparently has taken a toll on his body. "He has to take medicine now to control his blood sugar level,” a source told People. “He was also told he needs to rethink his whole lifestyle. He needs to see a dietitian and change the way he eats. If he doesn't change his lifestyle, he was told that it could have serious consequences."
It seems a new diet is what he has planned. Kardashian considered the health scare a “wake-up call” and plans to get healthy in the new year, a source told TMZ Tuesday.
Kardashian "momager" Kris Jenner reportedly cut short a trip to St. Barts when she learned Rob was hospitalized, People wrote. Jenner was on vacation with boyfriend Corey Gamble when she got the news.
Conversely, Radar Online reported the 60-year-old is a “monster momager” who abandoned her son to party in the Caribbean island with her beau. The publication showed pictures from the vacation, though it’s unclear if they were taken after Kardashian’s hospitalization.
Though Rob is going through a tough time, his older sisters have his back. Kourtney, Kim and Khloé shared social media posts about him recently, with Khloé writing, "if only you could see yourself through my eyes."
She posted an Instagram photo with the caption “melancholy” after his hospitalization; his poor health has affected his family. "Rob is still struggling and it makes the family sad," a source told People earlier this month. "He deals with depression, weight issues and low self-esteem, but that's been going on for a long time."
