Rob Kardashian Shows Off Weight Loss Progress On Instagram; Says He’s ‘Still Got A Lot Of Work To Do’
Rob Kardashian has been working hard to slim down and it’s paying off. The soon-to-be father gained more than 100 pounds as of 2015 and withdrew from the public eye. His 2016 romance with model Blac Chyna has helped to motivate him and pull him back into the spotlight.
The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star posted a side-by-side picture of himself on Instagram Wednesday. One part of the photo showed him at his largest weight, while the other was more recent. In the caption, he gave himself credit for committing to his health. Kardashian, 29, admitted, however, that he has not yet reached his ideal weight.
Kardashian, who was diagnosed with diabetes in December 2015, has not shared his motivation for working out, but with a baby on the way he’s got a lot to live for. Fiancée Blac Chyna, 28, shared the first ultrasound photo of her baby with Kardashian, believed to be due in the fall. In the caption she revealed to fans that there was a time when she did not think she’d be able to give King Cairo Stevenson, her son with rapper Tyga, a sibling. Blac Chyna claimed she felt she’d never find love again, urging fans not to give up on “fairytales.”
Although Kardashian and Blac Chyna are elated about their impending bundle of joy, their pregnancy announcement has not been without criticism. On May 22, Blac Chyna took to Snapchat to share with fans just how much weight she’d put on to date. The clip showed her stepping on the scale, revealing her 20 pound weight gain. She later fired back at critics of her size, questioning what they expected from a pregnant woman.
“To all about people out here with negative comments and insecure words (obviously because you have nothing else to do but criticize the next) I AM HAVING A BABY! Exactly what do you expect to see? If I walked out in makeup and heels everyday to be beautiful to you mean I WOULD BE MISERABLE AND UNHAPPY which are two vibes I refuse to transfer to my little one,” she wrote in an Instagram post that has since been deleted.
Such critiques are likely the reason Kardashian expressed a desire to keep as many aspects as possible regarding this pregnancy private. On May 11, the “KUWTK” star told E! News that becoming a father was “exciting,” but added that he was not interested in exposing his unborn child to the public eye.
“I”m happy, and I just like to keep it, you know, keep it private...as private as can be,” he said.
