Twilight star Robert Pattinson was reportedly hit by a taxi in New York City on Thursday but did not appear to be injured as he tried to escape a horde of fans.

Pattinson was grazed by the vehicle on his hip but walked away, sources reported Thursday. He was surprised by the car on 12th Street and Broadway in Manhattan as he came out from the Strand bookstore in Manhattan to meet a bunch of fans waiting for him.

You see what you did, you almost killed him, Pattinson's bodyguard shouted at the fans according to reports from witnesses, MTV said.

Pattinson, 23 is in the city shooting his next movie Remember Me, reportedly attracting a large number of fans. The film is a story about two lovers facing family tragedies.
