Rob Zombie Shares 'The Munsters' On-Set Photo Featuring Herman, Lily, Grandpa
Director Rob Zombie shared a behind-the-scenes photo of his upcoming movie, "The Munsters," featuring key characters Herman, Lily, and Grandpa - played by Sheri Moon Zombie, Jeff Daniel Phillips and Daniel Roebuck, respectively.
Taking to Instagram, the 57-year-old director shared a black and white photo of the cast members getting their make-up done and wrote that it takes a team of professionals to keep their look fresh for the entire day.
"It takes quite a team to keep these Munsters looking so fresh and camera ready from sunrise to sunset," Rob captioned the photo Tuesday.
Cast members and fans took to the comments section to share their reactions.
"Fun times with my friends!" Phillips commented, while Sheri Moon simply dropped the purple heart emoji in the comments. Musician Nikki Sixx wrote, "Cannot wait."
"Holy sh-t! dude, I cannot wait. Is the movie going to be b/w?because that looks awesome!" one of the fans wrote. Another fan commented, "The make up crew and all technicians on the movie are spectacular. Thank you for sharing."
Many more fans questioned if the movie is going to be filmed in the black and white version, noting that it would be a really "cool" style.
"The Munsters" is a reboot of the 1960s sitcom of the same name. The original series featured a family that was quite different. For instance, the father named Herman looked like Frankenstein's monster while Lily and Grandpa were vampires. Herman and Lily shared a son named Eddie, who was a werewolf. The series was originally aired on the CBS network. The first episode of the sitcom was dropped on Sept. 24, 1964.
Besides directing, Rob also penned the reboot of the movie. He first announced the project in March last year and began filming in July. The director has been actively sharing updates about the movie on his Instagram handle.
On the work front, Rob has directed projects like "3 from Hell," "Rob Zombie: Well, Everybody's Fucking in a U.F.O.," "The Zombie Horror Picture Show" and "31." He was a regular on the documentary TV series, "Eli Roth's History of Horror" from 2018 to 2021.
On the personal front, Rob is married to Sheri Moon since 2002.
