A Georgia woman, an initial “victim” in an armed robbery at a local convenience store, has been arrested after she allegedly stole lottery tickets from the office of the store’s clerk who was fatally shot in the incident. The woman is also believed to have temporarily disabled the establishment’s security system.

Houston County Sheriff’s Capt. Jon Holland said deputies arrested Lakiesha Deshawn McGhee, 43, after they retrieved evidence revealing how the Bonaire resident stole lottery tickets from the office of Warner Robins J&J Dollar Store clerk Sabrina Renee Dollar, who was shot by robbers, Associated Press reported.

Holland said McGhee called 911 after three armed men entered the store just after midnight on Jan. 18. Surveillance video showed one of the robbers taking cash from McGhee. He added that deputies believe McGhee also briefly tampered with the building’s security system before responders arrived at the scene.

Surveillance footage showed that one of the suspects went to the convenience store office and allegedly shot Dollar in the upper chest and used a handgun to hit her in the head. Footage also showed McGhee taking lottery tickets from the office where Dollar was found by emergency responders, WMAZ-TV reported. Dollar was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

McGhee has been charged with theft and tampering with evidence. She is in custody at a Houston County prison and is being held without bail. The sheriff’s office has not accused McGhee of involvement in Dollar’s shooting.

The three suspects are still on the run and the lead investigator of the homicide and robbery, Sgt. Anna Lange, has asked anyone with information on the case to contact her, The Macon Telegraph reported. Witnesses said the suspects fled north on Knodishall Drive after taking cash from the store. It is unclear how much the robbers took.

The convenience store is located on the same site where an attempted robbery took place in November. In the earlier incident, a gunman entered the shop but was chased off by a store worker with a meat cleaver. The establishment allows patrons to play video poker and is located about 250 feet north of Watson Boulevard.
