Robert Pattinson, Dakota Fanning Spend New Year’s Eve Together; RPatz Ditches Rumored Kristen Stewart Plans

Robert Pattinson was caught spending time with one of his “Twilight” co-stars on New Year’s Eve, and it wasn’t his former on-screen turned off-screen love, Kristen Stewart.

According to a report from HollywoodLife.com, the 27-year-old actor rang in 2014 with Dakota Fanning, famous for portraying “evil” vampire Jane in the “Twilight” film franchise. Despite Pattinson spending the holiday with his 19-year-old co-star instead of his former love of three years, the report gives no indication that the duo are an item.

“[The lunch was] guys and girls,” an employee at Juliette, a Williamsburg, Brooklyn, restaurant, told the gossip site, adding confirmation that Pattinson did sit next to an unidentified female at the celebration who wasn’t Fanning. The meal, which reportedly kicked off at 1:30 p.m. New Year’s Eve, consisted of a group of 10 and was an entirely casual affair. “[They] came in as a walk-in,” said the source, adding, “No one in the restaurant really paid any attention to [Rob]. They were all laughing [and] had a great time!”

In December, HollywoodLife.com reported that Pattinson and Stewart were planning to be meet up over New Year’s. The duo, who were originally rumored to be arguing over where to spend Christmas, were allegedly scheduling a getaway at the UK’s Isle of Wight. “If she goes to visit Rob in England, it will be after Christmas,” said an insider, adding, “[Kristen] really wants to go to the Isle of Wight with Rob, and it's a possibility they may celebrate the new year there, like they have in the past.”

Fanning has been a longtime friend of Stewart, who was romantically attached to Pattinson until May of 2013. Fanning, who is known to be dating 32-year-old British model Jamie Strachan, was last spotted spending time with Stewart at the Chanel Paris-Dallas 2013/14 Metiers d’Art Show in Texas in December.
