Robert Pattinson, FKA Twigs Fight, Break Up After 'Not Speaking To Each Other' For A Long Time: Report
"Twilight" actor Robert Pattinson and his fiancée FKA twigs have called off their engagement after a fight, Hollywood Life reported, citing Life & Style magazine. The report said that that the couple has been having trouble since Pattinson started shooting for his upcoming movie "The Lost City of Z" and they decided to call it quits Thursday.
"FKA called Rob on his first day of filming to tell him that she couldn’t visit because of her busy schedule," a source told Life & Style magazine, according to Hollywood Life, adding: "[He] let her know he wasn’t happy about it." Twigs allegedly "lost her temper" and "yelled at him to stop complaining and hung up on him." The report also added that conflicting, busy schedules, and long distance led to the breakup.
After the first blowout, FKA twigs and Pattinson, 29, reportedly "went into a long period of not speaking to each other," and have decided to break up.
The report also said that Pattinson’s family was not very disappointed that the relationship, which began last August, did not last because "they don’t think she’s right for Rob."
FKA twigs said in an interview for Paper magazine’s November issue that she wanted to get married and have children.
"I'm quite traditional," the 27-year-old British singer said, according to Paper, adding: "I'm quite happy to say, 'Go to school, work hard on your GCSEs, do your A-Levels, get married, have children. Send your kids to a nice school. Make sure you're in the right catchment area.'"
Before FKA twigs, Pattinson dated his "Twilight" co-star Kristen Stewart for three years and ended the relationship after her affair with then-married "Snow White and the Huntsman" director, Rupert Sanders, became public.
Reports in March revealed that FKA twigs and Pattinson are engaged, and in June she confirmed the news during an interview to Complex magazine. The couple made an appearance on red carpet together at the 2015 Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala in New York City in May.
