Robert Pattinson May Still Marry FKA Twigs Amid Kristen Stewart Rumors

Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs have broken up, but this might not be the end of their love story.

Amid gossip that Pattinson’s ex, Kristen Stewart, was looking to rekindle a friendship with her “Twilight” co-star, it is being reported that there is a still a chance that the formally engaged couple will reunite.

“I think they will eventually get back together. He still loves her and that’s the girl he wants to marry,” a source told People of Pattinson’s feelings for Twigs post-split. The insider added that Twigs kept her engagement ring from the film star.

“It’s not out of the realm of possibility that they could get back together and it’s more like they are taking a break. It’s not like he asked for the ring. She still has it,” said the source.

According to the outlet, Pattinson’s split from Twigs was not “vicious” and was caused due to their busy work schedules. Pattinson is currently on a press tour while Twigs is working on a new album. “They’ve been all over the place. They have not seen each other in probably two months,” said the source.

Reports of Twigs and Pattinson’s split surfaced earlier this week with an insider telling E! Online that the actor was the one who ended the relationship. “Their travel schedules took a big toll on the relationship. Robert is the one who ended it,” said the source. “They bought a house together but then it was just not working out between them. She moved out.”

News of the couple’s parting of ways didn’t come as much of a shock to fans. Pattinson alluded to the idea he and Twigs were no longer together in a July interview with Howard Stern. During the sit-down, when asked if he was still engaged, the actor replied, “Kind of.”

Coincidentally enough, Pattinson’s single status came the same time OK! Magazine released a report claiming his ex-girlfriend, Kristen Stewart, was looking to reconnect.

“Kristen misses Rob when things aren’t going well in her life and right now things are tricky with [girlfriend] Stella [Maxwell],” a source told the tabloid. “She still has this sense of curiosity with Rob. She wants to at least meet up and see if they can be friends.”

While the news had Twi-hard fan’s hearts jumping a beat, Gossip Cop quickly shot the down the rumors of a possible Stewart-Pattinson reunion.

While Rob’s love life appears to be taking a backseat, his career is doing well. On Thursday, it was revealed that he received a nomination for the 27th annual IFP Gotham Awards. Pattinson, who has starred in films such as “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,” the entire “Twilight” franchise and “The Lost City of Z,” has been recognized with a best actor nod for his work in the crime-thriller “Good Time.” The film has also been nominated for best feature.
