Robin Thicke Praises Wife Paula Patton Amid Claims That He Cheated On Her
Robin Thicke is currently embroiled in a controversy after a photograph of him groping a fan -- Lana Scolaro -- at a VMAs after-party, appeared on the Internet. But, the singer and his wife, Paula Patton, are unconcerned about allegations that he cheated on her, according to reports.
The couple appeared on the cover of the September issue of Prestige magazine, where Thicke praised Patton for being the driving force behind his success.
“I don’t know if I would still be alive in some ways if it wasn’t for Paula. She’s been my rock, my muse, my inspiration and I love her. The whole way,” he told Prestige magazine, according to Daily Mail.
Patton, too, reiterated that the couple, who has been dating since their teens, shares a strong bond.
“We’re best friends,” Patton told Prestige. “We laugh a lot. But that’s our down time. We do the things you’re supposed to do, like work out – blah, blah, blah, boring, boring. We love to travel together and travel with our child.”
Soon after the controversy broke, Thicke and Patton were spotted vacationing in Miami with their three-year-old son, Julian. Patton and Thicke had remained tight-lipped regarding the alleged groping incident, but a representative for the actress recently released a statement to Life & Style calling Scolaro an attention seeker.
“It's just a girl looking for some attention. Paula and Robin aren't concerned,” the statement read.
Scolaro, in an interview with Life & Style, said that besides groping her at a VMAs after-party, Thicke allegedly made out with her while Patton was just a few feet away.
"I don't think he cared what she thought. I was with him the whole night!" Scolaro told Life & Style, adding that Thicke gave her his phone number and said he would see her during New York Fashion Week, which is on until Sept. 12.
