Rodtang To Figure In Champion Vs Champion Bout At ONE On Prime Video 4

Rodtang Jitmuangnon—the reigning ONE flyweight Muay Thai champion—was supposed to make his highly-anticipated debut on Amazon Prime Video this past August as part of ONE Championship's premiere on the aforementioned digital streaming platform.

The renowned Pa Phayom, Thailand native was scheduled to face Savvas Michael in the semifinal round of the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix at ONE on Prime Video 1, but his failure to provide a sample for the mandatory hydration test forced him to withdraw from the bout.

His sudden pullout from the tournament opened the door for his teammate Panpayak Jitmuangnon to enter the semifinals as an alternate and punch his ticket to the finals by winning over Michael via second-round knockout.

Panpayak will now face Superlek Kiatmoo9 in the finals—set for October 22 (October 21 in the United States) on the ONE on Prime Video 3 card.

For Rodtang, it will not take too long for the United States primetime audience to see him strut his wares inside the ONE Championship cage throwing hard-hitting blows in a pair of four-ounce gloves.

Recognized by Muay Thai pundits and several sports news outlets as the pound-for-pound best fighter in "The Art Of Eight Limbs" today, Rodtang will be in action at ONE on Prime Video 4 on November 19 (November 18 in the United States).

The 25-year-old power-puncher is set to lock horns with newly-minted ONE strawweight titleholder Joseph Lasiri in a five-round duel for the Thai's gold-plated strap.

Operating behind the puncher's style known as "Muay Mat," Rodtang holds victories over the likes of Sergio Wielzen, Hakim Hamech, Jonathan Haggerty and Petchdam Petchyindee.

In his last outing, "The Iron Man" handed Jacob Smith a demoralizing defeat, battering the British kickboxer with a wide array of harrowing strikes over the course of three rounds in their ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix quarterfinal showdown.

On the other hand, Lasiri is fresh from a career-defining moment this past May when he shocked the world by stopping Prajanchai PK.Saenchai in the third round to capture the strawweight Muay Thai belt.

Lasiri will try to do it again and pull off the upset at the expense of Rodtang, which will allow him to enter ONE Championship's record books as the latest two-division world champion in the organization's Muay Thai ranks.

The promotion is expected to announce the partial lineup of matches for ONE on Prime Video 4 in the coming weeks.

ONE on Prime Video 4 is slated to take place at the 12,000-capacity Singapore Indoor Stadium.
