Roger Clemens Takes The Mound At 50 Years Old
Roger Clemens, who last pitched in the major leagues in 2007, will start Saturday night for the Sugarland Skeeters of the independent Atlantic League.
The first pitch is at 8pm and you can watch the action here.
Clemens, 50, signed with the team Monday and will make his first start against Bridgeport (Conn.).
The seven-time Cy Young winner has said he is not looking to make a comeback and is instead trying to just have fun.
"I'm 50 years old," Clemens said during his introductory press conference Tuesday. "We're just going to go out and have fun with this and make it fun for the fans."
During his 24-year career, Clemens had a 3.12 ERA, 4,672 strikeouts and 354 wins.
