World Rank number 2 Roger Federer has won his first match of the Australian Open with a convincing 3-0 victory over Slovakian Lukas Lacko.

After the win, Federer mentioned, I'm really enjoying myself, playing extremely well at the moment and the last six months have been fantastic. I'm very happy how things are going and I will see how far I can go in the tournament.

Federer, one of the greatest tennis players of all time, is expected to go far in this tournament and bring the most excitement out of all the players at the Australian Open.

It's hard to tell how happy he really is over just one win, but now is a good time to look at his best plays last year.
