At times, the error can also be caused by the HDCP standards. In such cases, there are some troubleshooting steps that users can take to fix the issue.

What causes Error Code 020?
HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Copy Protection) works by encrypting the digital signal between the HDMI source and the display device. This encryption makes it difficult for unauthorized devices to copy the content. HDCP-compliant devices must also authenticate each other before the content can be displayed.
It is typically used for HDMI connections between devices such as Blu-ray players, cable/satellite set-top boxes, and game consoles. When HDCP-encrypted content is played back on a non-HDCP-compliant device, it will usually result in an error code 020 being displayed on the screen.
There are a few possible reasons why you might see the error code 020 on your Roku device:

2. Re-plug the HDMI Cable

3. Disable display refresh rate
