‘Romance In The Air’ Hallmark Channel Movie Premiere: Cast, Trailer, Synopsis
Hallmark Channel’s “Summer Nights” event is officially underway, with the premiere of their newest film, “Romance in the Air,” starring Cindy Busby and Torrance Coombs.
Busby is no stranger to fans of Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies and Mysteries, as she has starred in several films in recent years, including Elizabeth Scott in both “Unleashing Mr. Darcy” and “Marrying Mr. Darcy,” Kelly Pavlik in “Royal Hearts,” Annalise Collins in “Wedding March 5: My Boyfriend’s Back,” Alice Marina in “A Godwink Christmas: Meant For Love” and Leah Waddell in “Love in the Forecast.” She also portrayed Ashley Stanton on the show “Heartland,” which her current co-star, Coombs, also made an appearance on. Following his brief run as Chase Powers on the show, he went on to star as Sebastian in “Reign” and Declan in “The Originals.” Hallmark fans may also recognize him from his 2018 film, “Royally Ever After,” where he starred as Prince Daniel.
So what will happen when these two meet again for their first Hallmark film together? The pair will certainly find plenty of love, and fans are going to get a lot of beautiful scenery.
“After learning her marketing job is on the line, Eden (Busby) returns to Lake Tahoe where she used to spend her summers growing up. Intending to relax and recharge so she can tackle her job again, she is surprised to find her childhood friend and sweetheart Riley (Coombs) is still living next door,” a synopsis reads. “Eden finds purpose in helping Riley propel his struggling hot air balloon tour company and finds herself drawn to him and their dear past.”
Though Eden may be recalling her time in Lake Tahoe and her former romance with Riley fondly though, she will also be looking at the arrangement as a temporary one, because even if her job isn’t waiting for her back home, her boyfriend is—and despite what she feels she will need to go back eventually—unless she can truly follow her heart.
“Eden can’t admit that she and Riley could have a future, even if that’s exactly what she wants,” the synopsis says. “When she’s willing to take a risk for what her heart wants, her life will take off with her true love.”
“Romance in the Air” airs Saturday, August 1 at 9 p.m. EDT on Hallmark Channel.
