- The thriller ranked 81% on Rotten Tomatoes
British actress Rosamund Pike took to Instagram to share a video Wednesday in which she flaunted her short hair.
The 42-year-old actress noted her hairstylist Lori Guidroz was inspired by Marla Grayson, a character Pike portrayed in the new Netflix release "I Care A Lot."
"Only Marla would have the balls to hide by revealing her face MORE. People kept saying she looked like a French assassin," she said in the post. "So I created “Cécile Lacroix” the assassin who only uses taser and laser... Anyone want to write the movie?"
The comedy-drama dropped on Netflix on Feb. 19, and revolves around a woman who has a connection with a powerful gangster. It's been five days since the film has been released, and it already managed to become one of the top ten movies on the streaming platform, Esquire reported.
The thriller ranked 81% on Rotten Tomatoes, and social media users have not been able to stop talking about the film.
Moreover, one Twitter user noted the actress was using a vape pen and wrote "2021 best supporting actor goes to Vape Pen in I Care a Lot."
Pike, who appeared on "The Kelly Clarkson Show" on Wednesday, admitted her images were photoshopped on various movie posters in the past. The actress also noted those cover photos were doctored without her approval.
"For the poster for Johnny English [Reborn], my breasts were augmented," she recalled 2011's spy parody that featured stars like Rowan Atkinson, Gillian Anderson, Dominic West, and Daniel Kaluuya.
"In the poster for the character shot, I've got a really impressive chest. Which I don't have," she laughed. Besides her body, the actress noted how the creators changed her eye color for a romantic drama, "Radioactive", which was released in 2019.
"For Radioactive, strangely, they made my eyes brown," she said. "I still don't quite know why." Pike acknowledged that there are subtle alterations in every poster, which might go unnoticed.
However, she said it becomes “obvious” to figure out the alterations when the breasts are photoshopped to look massive and eye color gets changed. "I think we're all losing our grip on what we really look like," the actress said.
