Rosie O’Donnell recently fell in love with a woman 22 years her junior.

The actress confirmed the news during an appearance on “The Howard Stern Show.” O’Donnell is 55 years old, which means that her girlfriend is only 33. But even though there’s a huge age gap between them, “The Fosters” actress said that they get along really well.

“It’s the first time I’ve dated someone younger than me. It’s a very trippy thing. In fact, I get along so well with her, it’s kind of fascinating,” she said. Unfortunately, O’Donnell did not disclose the identity of her girlfriend and said that plans to keep their relationship private for as long as possible.

When asked if another wedding could be in the cards for her, O’Donnell said no. The actress is certain that she no longer wants to get married again. Previously, she tied the knot with Kelli Carpenter and was with her from 2004 to 2007. In 2012, she married Michelle Rounds, but they separated in 2016. In September, the 46-year-old Rounds died due to apparent suicide.

“You knew Michelle, and that was a very troubled situation. I think that for me, being 55, I just think I would rather stay in it for love and not have to deal with lawyers if, God forbid, it shouldn’t work out,” she said.

O’Donnell and Carpenter share four children together, Parker, 22, Chelsea, 20, Blake, 17 and Vivienne, 14. The “Now and Then” star also has one child with Rounds, Dakota, 4, according to Entertainment Tonight.

Last month, O’Donnell opened up about Rounds’ suicide and said that it was not her first time to try and take her own life. While speaking with Extra, she said that Rounds also tried to commit suicide in September 2015. “You think love has the answer. But mental illness has no say,” she said.

Following their divorce, O’Donnell and Rounds fought for Dakota’s custody. Rounds initially wanted sole custody, but she and O’Donnell eventually reached a settlement. In March 2016, their divorce was finalized.

O’Donnell also has a complicated relationship with her daughter, Chelsea, who is currently pregnant with her first child. Chelsea previously said that she doesn’t want her baby to meet O’Donnell.
