Chelsea, the teenage daughter of Rosie O’Donnell, was found safe yesterday, but the case is not over. The plot thickened Wednesday after authorities discovered her with a convicted heroin dealer she met online, the U.K.’s Daily Mail wrote in an exclusive report.

O'Donnell's 17-year-old daughter met Steve Sheerer on Tinder, the dating app where users “swipe right” if they see someone they like. On the same day that O’Donnell penned a blog post about her missing daughter, police officers found Chelsea at a house in Barnegat, New Jersey.

The runaway did not put up a fight when she was discovered, Officer Nicholas Dapuzzo, 36, of the Barnegat Police Department, told the Daily Mail about Chelsea. "She was a little apprehensive. It was written on her face that she didn't want to go. I told her she was a juvenile and she needed medical attention and she needed to come with me,” he said. “She was quiet. We put her bag in the front and she was in the back [of the police vehicle] with her dog and she was fine.”

A day after her daughter was found, O’Donnell posted about Sheerer on her official Twitter account. She pinned an article that said Sheerer, 25, would face drug and child endangerment charges. “Sheerer charged [with] third-degree possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, third-degree possession of heroin,” she added in a separate update, which contained a picture of Sheerer.

The comedian responded to a follower who sarcastically expressed shock about the development. “@Rosie is a Perfect Mom… how can this be,” a commenter wrote. “No mom is perfect-- we all do our best," O'Donnell responded.

So why did she run away? Chelsea’s biological mother, Deanna Micoley, told Radar Online Wednesday she thinks her daughter absconded because she “can’t stand” the comedian. “I know she has said she can’t stand her sometimes, but every child has that with their mother,” Micoley said about Chelsea. “She really doesn’t want to talk too much about Rosie, so I respect that and don’t ask questions. She doesn’t specify a lot about Rosie.”
