Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s royal wedding souvenirs are no longer featured on the Royal Collection website.
A few weeks back, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that they would be stepping back from their royal duties. The Queen has been supportive of their decision. However, Queen Elizabeth II also confirmed that they would no longer be using their HRH titles and would not receive public funding. But in addition to all of these, Prince Harry and Markle were also surprisingly removed from the Royal Collection website.
According to Daily Mail, the official wedding souvenirs of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are no longer featured on the Royal Collection’s online shop after their decision to quit. The commemorative pieces included a fine bone china coffee mug, a tankard and a plate. They were released ahead of Prince Harry and Markle’s royal wedding.
Some pieces were still available a few days ago. However, current searches for the Sussexes no longer yield any results. The decision also came after the royal couple announced that they will be aiming to become financially independent.
A spokeswoman explained that the chinaware items were already sold out, while some were sold for a limited time only. However, the explanation didn’t satisfy the publication because most items related to Princess Eugenie’s royal wedding were also sold out, but they were still listed on the site.
According to previous reports, Queen Elizabeth II was furious and disappointed with Markle and Prince Harry over their decision to give up their royal positions. The monarch was not pleased because the Sussexes did not inform them ahead of their bombshell announcement. The royal family reportedly only learned about the news when it was reported on TV.
Meanwhile, Markle sparked outrage from Twitter users following her recent sighting. She was photographed carrying Archie with a baby carrier while holding the leash of her two pet dogs. It appeared to royal fans that she didn’t avoid the paparazzi, and the shot was taken when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were carrying out a royal engagement.
“There was me thinking they wanted privacy? Or perhaps just exposure on their own terms,” one commented on Twitter.
Some also commented that Markle’s dogs looked sad. There were also few netizens who noticed that the baby was not moving and appeared to be a toy doll sparking rumors that Archie was fake.
