Royal Duty: Princess Sofia Of Sweden Attends Global Child Forum In Pretoria
Sofia Hellqvist of Sweden attended an event in support of children’s rights at the Global Child Forum in Pretoria Tuesday. The 30-year-old princess looked stunning in a black pinstriped pantsuit combination as she appealed to everyone to help those suffering as a result of the Syrian refugee crisis.
Hellqvist paired her smart suit with a white top. She wore high heel pumps in black for the forum. Her long brunette tresses were styled into a bouncy blowout and kept in middle part.
In her speech, she discussed the Syrian refugee crisis in Europe. “I think that everyone can contribute in their own way and do something,” Hellqvist said, adding that she believed that every individual can make a difference and help a fellow human being.
She also mentioned everyone could start by ensuring that refugees, who come to Sweden, get all the necessary help that they need and to contribute money to organizations that are actually in place. “What action can you take as a professional and as a person to make a positive impact on a child’s life?” she asked.
She concluded by urging audience members to think about how they can make the lives of children better.
On Monday, Princess Sofia wore a bright blue dress when she attended a reception at the Swedish Embassy in South Africa on behalf of the king and queen of Sweden.
She looked beautiful in the blue wrap dress which featured three-quarter length sleeves. She accessorized with a bracelet, small earrings and silver watch and also carried a quilted black clutch bag. Her brunette tresses were tied into a low ponytail, while she opted for pink lipstick.
This is not the first time that the princess wore the vibrant blue dress. During her engagement photoshoot with Prince Carl Philip, she wore the same dress.
This is Sofia’s first solo visit since her marriage to Carl Philip on June 13. The Global Child Forum is an organization founded by her in-laws, King Carl Gustaf XVI and Queen Silvia.
Earlier, she attended the Scandinavian Touring Car Championships on July 12. But, the royal couple’s first official appearance was on July 14 when they joined the rest of the Swedish royal family for Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden’s birthday celebrations.
