Royal Expert Who Said Kate, Meghan’s Public Appearances Are ‘Staged’ Slammed For ‘Lying’
A royal expert recently claimed that Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle’s public appearances are staged. However, fans of the two female royal accused the royal expert of lying.
On the online forum site Quora, Shelli King, an avid anglophile since 1965, said that royal author Katie Nicholl is probably trying to promote an upcoming book that’s why she keeps talking about the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex.
“Her books are tedious reads that regulate tabloid nonsense. Royals have a well-developed PR staff… It would be ridiculous to assume that these outings haven’t undergone careful planning,” she said.
Paul Reid, who doesn’t like the Royal Family, said that Nicholl isn’t a royal reporter so she shouldn’t be considered a credible source. Lynne Chamberlain, a former research assistant at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, added that Nicholl is simply a journalist who is paid to make statements about the Royals.
“If there is nothing to write about, Ms. Nicholl and her journalist colleagues make something up. My suggestion to you is to ignore any articles in the print media… Ignore any information from royal insiders or unnamed palace officials,” she said.
But Graham Short, a resident of the United Kingdom, said that Nicholl probably said that Middleton and Markle’s outing was staged because it really was. He also called Prince Harry’s wife a walking PR disaster.
During her interview with Entertainment Tonight, Nicholl said that Middleton and Markle’s recent efforts to show that they are friendly towards each other were a calculated effort to squash rumors that they are feuding.
For instance, Middleton and Markle attended their husbands’ polo match together with their children. At the outing, the two female royals seemed amicable with each other even though they didn’t act as though they were best friends.
Days later, the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex attended Wimbledon together. While there, they once again looked happy.
