The royal family should start taking hold of Meghan Markle because she is believed to have become incredibly powerful.

Royal historian Anna Whitelock said that the Duchess of Sussex is also the one holding all the cards in her marriage to Prince Harry. After giving birth to her son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, the “Suits” alum became more popular among royal fans.

While speaking with Yahoo’s “The Royal Box,” Whitelock discussed Markle’s impact on the royal family and their supporters.

“Meghan now is in a more powerful position than she has yet been since she joined the royal family. She is married to Harry, he clearly dotes on her and adores her, she clearly has a great deal of influence over him,” she said.

Whitelock went on to call Markle the media darling royal who holds all the cards at the moment.

“Meghan is incredibly powerful and the royal family know that or if they don’t know that, they should take due hold of that,” she added.

The former Hollywood star has proven herself to be the sixth most powerful member of the royal family. According to YouGov’s ratings, Queen Elizabeth II is the most popular member of the British clan with 72 percent out of 8,954 interviews.

Lagging behind the Queen is Prince Harry, who received 71 percent of the votes. Prince William came in third with 69 percent of the poll results, and Middleton came in fourth ahead of Prince Philip.

Meanwhile, Express also came up with a poll among its readers to determine who is more popular between Markle and Middleton. Out of the 4,792 readers that participated in the poll, Middleton received 31 percent of the vote, while Markle only received six percent.

The publication asked respondents who their favorite member of the royal family is and the majority of them chose the Duchess of Cambridge over the Duchess of Sussex.
