Royal Family Will Leave Prince Harry, Meghan Markle To Sort Things Out: Report

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will have to sort things out on their own because the royal family is already fed up with them, according to a royal expert.

Russell Myers spoke up via the U.K.’s TalkRadio Sunday about the Susexes' relationship with the royal family. According to him, the members of the Firm are done with the chaos brought by Prince Harry and Markle's bombshell tell-all with Oprah Winfrey.

"The Oprah Winfrey interview, let’s not make any bones about it, went down like a lead balloon," The Mirror's royal editor said. "As far as Harry and Meghan are concerned, I think they will be left to sort things out on their own."

Myers felt that the royal family has not sorted out its issues with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex yet, and he blamed the latter for being a "distraction" to the Firm.

"They’ve been a distraction for the most part for the family … There will be quite a lot of dissatisfaction within the camp, and it remains to be seen whether they will be brought back in," he continued.

He went on and said that Prince Harry went to the U.K. and attended Prince Philip's funeral with "his tail between his legs" because of the allegations he and his wife, Markle, made against his family. Myers was certain that the duke was "a bit sheepish seeing the rest of his family."

Meanwhile, the rest of the members of the royal family "are very, very united" and they are already trying to get back to business. Myers predicted that the monarchy will move on and just ignore the scandal caused by the Sussexes.

Host Kevin O'Sullivan mentioned Prince Charles' alleged "cold state fury" over his youngest son and unwillingness to "forgive, forget heal the rift" during the discussion with Myers.

"If that is his state of mind, I think the British people will be behind him every step of the way. I think most people think, ‘That guy Harry does not deserve to be forgiven,'" he said.

Other royal experts are convinced that the monarchy will end after the Queen.

"I’m not 100 percent sure that we will see Charles ascend to the throne," royal biographer Anna Pasternak, author of "The Real Wallis Simpson: A New History of the American Divorcée Who Became the Duchess of Windsor" told Vanity Fair.

"The Sussexes have sparked something so fundamentally incendiary in this country that it is changing the face of Britain, and I think the monarchy as an archaic institution may well topple."

However, Myers disagreed. He believed that the monarchy would "enter a new dawn" when Prince William takes over the throne.

"I don’t think it’s the last straw for the monarchy. I think it’s an evolution rather than a revolution," he said.
