Royal Fans Pity Princess Diana In This ‘Sad’ Throwback Photo: ‘No Peace'

Royal fans pitied Princess Diana for all she went through when she was still alive.

A throwback photo of the late Princess of Wales was shared on Instagram. In the snap, Princess Diana can be seen in a white t-shirt and blue shorts behind a tree. She is holding binoculars in her hand and appears to be looking somewhere or at someone.

According to the caption, the photo was taken on Aug. 12, 1994. Princess Diana had binoculars in her hands and she was giving a paparazzo a serious look after spotting the latter at her private holiday location.

At the time, Princess Diana rented and stayed in an oceanfront estate on the Massachusetts resort island of Martha’s Vineyard.

Princess Diana reportedly wanted to take Prince William and Prince Charles along, but her estranged husband, Prince Charles, refused. Her husband instead took their two boys to Balmoral.

The royal fans who saw the photo pitied Princess Diana. They felt that the photo was so “sad” and another found it “unsettling.”

“Poor beautiful princess. This photo says a lot. She had no privacy, no peace. Makes me sad,” one user commented.

A different user said that her heart aches at the sight of Princess Diana trying to hide from the photographer before adding “so damn sad.”

Another online user asked the account to not share any photos showing Princess Diana’s torment. A different user then commented, “No peace, no rest.”

“They hunted her like an animal. So very sad,” another Instagram user wrote.

A number also slammed Prince Charles for not treating Princess Diana well. One described the Prince of Wales “mean” while another called him “cruel.” Some also questioned the heir’s capacity to rule after Queen Elizabeth II.

Netizens recently wondered if Queen Elizabeth II could choose Prince William and skip Prince Charles as her successor. The majority of them believe it’s not possible, for the monarch has no absolute power to do so and pushing it would require an Act of Parliament.

Princess Diana and Prince Charles didn’t have an amicable breakup. One royal biographer claimed that the Princess of Wales humiliated the future king in a state banquet when she suddenly showed up and stood beside Prince Charles when she wasn’t expected to be present in the first place.
