'The Royals' Season 2, Episode 5 Spoilers: Will King Simon's Murderer Finally Be Revealed?
This week’s episode of the E! original scripted series “The Royals” left viewers with more questions than answers. However, next Sunday, the episode titled “The Spirit That I Have Seen,” could potentially reveal King Simon’s killer. [Warning: Spoiler Alert]
“I wanted you to hear it from me,” says Queen Helena (Elizabeth Hurley), in the episode trailer shared by E! Online. “Your father’s murderer has been found,” she tells Prince Liam (William Moseley) and Princess Eleanor (Alexandra Park). [scroll down for video]
The statement comes after a scene where Ted Pryce could be seen walking away from the Queen. Could the Royal Family’s head of security really be King Simon’s attacker? At the end of the previous episode, Ted encountered a man, while he was attempting to help Prince Liam investigate domino. The man revealed himself to be behind the mysterious domino symbol and he accused Ted of killing the late King Sinom.
The trailer also shows Prince Liam saying that King Cyrus (Jake Maskall) is out of control. He destroyed King Simon’s monument in last week’s episode and the synopsis shared by TV Guide states that he will continue to try to build his public image.
Princess Eleanor’s new relationship with her new friend Mandy, will cause a controversy that the Queen will disapprove of. Jasper isn’t happy with the situation either and could be seen telling Mandy a.k.a. Samantha to leave the Princess. It is still a mystery how Jasper and Samantha know each other and what kind of connection they have in the past.
Lastly, Queen Helena will learn of a betrayal in the upcoming episode. This is likely related to Alistair Lacey, the former lover that she has decided to reach out to again. It is unclear if he is still alive, following an assassination attempt ordered by Cyrus at the end of the previous season.
