The 58-year-old actor posted a selfie with his family, including his two sons -- Charles, 18, and Tennyson, 16. The actor shares the two sons with his ex-wife, actress Danielle Spencer. The former couple was married from 2003 to 2018.
In the photo, the actor can be seen clicking a selfie while others, including his two sons, can be seen posing for the camera. "Taking the kids to see my old office," the actor captioned the photo.
Fans took to the comments section to share their love for the actor and the movie.
"Still one of my favourite movies ever!" one of the fans wrote alongside a sketch of the actor from "Gladiator."
Another fan wrote, "We saw you and your family Russel! but we couldn’t believe that the day we visit colosseum for the first time thinking about Gladiator we’ll see Maximus in person ;) it's a magical place steeped in history and you wrote part of it. Grazie."
Crowe won the Academy Award for Best Actor for "Gladiator," which was set in Roman times. The flick tells a story of a powerful general who becomes a common gladiator. However, his popularity keeps threatening the throne from time to time.
The movie was helmed by director Ridley Scott, who is known for directing movies like "House of Gucci," "The Last Duel" and "Robin Hood."
Crowe opened up about the sequel of "Gladiator" in 2020.
"I can tell you those conversations have been going on since the last day of shooting the last one and there's been a lot of different ideas of approaching things," Crowe revealed. "I keep being like this sort of party pooper when I say, I just wanted to remind you I died in the first one. So, I don't really know. This far away, could we play with that? We could..."
According to the IMDb page of Scott, "Gladiator 2" has been announced. However, the sequel is not mentioned on Crowe's IMDb page.
Considering Crowe's upcoming projects, he will be seen in several projects, including "The Greatest Beer Run Ever," "The Georgetown Project," "Poker Face," "Kraven the Hunter" and "Rothko." He was recently seen in "Thor: Love and Thunder" playing Zeus' character.
