Russell Wilson is set to play his first game as a Denver Bronco since he was traded back in March.

However, the one-time Super Bowl champion admitted that he did have his qualms against the Seattle Seahawks, a team where he played from 2012 to 2021.

Wilson's trade to the Broncos came after a year of constant speculation that he would be shipped by the Seahawks to a new team.

However, the 33-year-old conceded that it was not the first time he heard of such ramblings.

In an ESPN report, the nine-time Pro Bowl champion disclosed that Seattle tried to trade him to the Cleveland Browns for the rights to the No. 1 overall pick in 2018.

Cleveland ended up picking Baker Mayfield, who is now with the Carolina Panthers.

Although he did not get into detail, Wilson stressed that the report hardly surprised him.

"I definitely think they tried to a couple of times to see what was out there," Wilson said. "It's part of the business and part of being a professional and everything else."

There were claims that Wilson became upset with the Seahawks due to the multiple attempts of trading the 2015 NFL passer rating leader.

He believes the term "upset" was not the right one to describe the situation.

"Upset is probably the wrong word," he stated. "I believe in my talent and who I am. I believe I'm one of the best in the world. I don't worry about anything else other than that."

Come Monday, September 12, Wilson will be back at the Lumen Field in Seattle–one of the loudest venues in football.

The place is expected to be charged on that night, and there is no telling how the crowd will react as he returns wearing a different uniform.

But in the eyes of wide receiver Tyler Lockett, Seattle should cheer Wilson for everything that he has done for the NFL team in the past years.

"So that's really how I feel about it. I think that Seattle should cheer him on for everything that he's done -- help bring a Super Bowl to this community, all that different type of stuff. He's an amazing guy," Lockett stated via USA Today.
