Russell Wilson Praises Pregnant Ciara At 2016 AMAs, Calls Baby Bump ‘Perfect Plus One’
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson couldn’t escort wife Ciara to the American Music Awards at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles Sunday, but she had the perfect date. The pregnant “I Bet” singer debuted her baby bump on the red carpet.
Wilson, 27, praised his wife’s ethereal look. “The perfect plus one,” he tweeted Sunday. “#BabyWilson.” The post was liked more than 6,300 times by his 2.57 million followers.
Wilson couldn’t attend the awards show since his team played the Philadelphia Eagles at CenturyLink Field in Seattle Sunday. They defeated the Eagles 26-15. The Seahawks now have a record of 7-2 and are in first place in the NFC West.
While her husband was playing football in Washington, Ciara, 31, rocked a high ponytail and black gown in California.
She’s suffered from a bit of morning sickness, but is feeling better. “I'm feeling great, I've finally gotten to a place where I feel almost normal,” she told E! Online Sunday. “It was a bit of, I don't want to throw up but I don't feel regular, for awhile. That's almost worse, you'd rather just throw up and get it done! But I'm feeling good and I'm happy to be here tonight.” Ciara added: “You've gotta push through it and be strong.”
Ciara also dished about her favorite pregnancy foods. “Water with lemon has been my thing,” said the singer. “I have moments where I drink water with no lemon and again I'm like...oh. I'm trying to find my rhythm. I also love huevos rancheros in the morning right now, and Acai bowls. I love to eat and I enjoy it and I take advantage of it when I'm carrying.”
Ciara shares 2-year-old son Future Zahir with ex-fiancé Future. This is the first baby for Wilson.
The couple married at a London castle in July.
