Ryan Gosling, Eva Mendes 2019: Couple Welcomes Latest Family Addition, Lucho
Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes have expanded their family, but it’s not what you think.
The Hollywood couple, who typically prefers to keep things about their family private, welcomed a new pet dog recently and the actress proudly announced the news on social media.
On Wednesday, Mendes took to Instagram to share a photo of her cuddling their fawn Doberman named Lucho. In her caption, the mom of two revealed that they just adopted their new pet dog, and she also encouraged her fans to do the same.
“Meet Lucho. The newest member of our family. We adopted him from this amazing agency called Friends for Life Rescue Network,” she wrote. “If you’re looking for a fluffy family member, adoption is a great option. So many little dudes out there needing a home.”
In a response to a fan comment, Mendes also revealed why they chose to adopt their new dog. According to her, as a “fawn Doberman with floppies,” Lucho has a “super crazy sweet nature.”
Earlier in the day, Gosling was spotted by Daily Mail when he took Lucho to the groomers in Los Angeles. The “Drive” actor kept it casual by wearing a navy blue T-shirt and a pair of gray jeans. He also rocked brown work boots, USS Hornet baseball cap, sunglasses and a necklace.
After the canine’s session, Gosling came back to take his new family member home. The “Crazy, Stupid, Love” star was photographed helping Lucho get into the back of his car.
Meanwhile, Mendes disclosed in a previous interview that she never thought of wanting to have kids until she met her partner.
“I was never one of those women who really wanted children, and then I fell in love with Ryan. I was like, ‘Oh I get it. I don’t want children, I want your children. I want your babies,’” she said in an interview with “The Talk.”
In the same interview, the “Hitch” actress revealed that she and Ryan were having a hard time teaching their daughters, Emseralda Amada and Amada Lee, Spanish.
“I’m Cuban and we’re trying to teach the kids Spanish, and it’s harder than I thought. I speak Spanglish and that’s what they’re picking up. So it’s adorable but it’s technically not a language. It’s Spanglish,” she said.
