Ryan Gosling, Eva Mendes Update: Actress Working Again After Fulfilling Mom Duties

Eva Mendes is looking to make a comeback in Hollywood after fulfilling her mom duties to her kids with Ryan Gosling.

Over the weekend, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that Mendes is ready to work as an actress again after staying away from the industry for about five years.

Eva was last seen in 2014’s “Lost River,” which was directed by her partner and baby daddy, Gosling. She’s made a mark in Hollywood after starring in “Hitch” and “Once Upon a Time in Mexico.”

According to the source, the 45-year-old actress-model is “looking to get back out there” now that she has enjoyed motherhood by giving birth and being with her daughters, Esmeralda, four, and Amada, three, for the first few years of their lives.

“She’s auditioning again,” the insider said without spilling the beans on which projects are being targeted by the “2 Fast 2 Furious” star. Last year, Mendes revealed that she’s no longer sure if she’s coming back to the acting scene again.

Eva was so focused on fulling her mom duties that she’s chosen to not accept new projects until she’s given enough time to her kids with Ryan, 38. “I’m just so obsessed with my kids that I don’t want to leave them,” she said.

Mendes and Gosling have been inseparable ever since they met on the set of their movie “The Place Beyond the Pines” in 2011. The film was released in 2012, but even after the project the two have gotten really close and quite serious. They welcomed Esmeralda in 2014 and Amada in 2016.

The couple has managed to make their romance very private for the most part. In fact, they are rarely seen together in public. Back in June, Gosling was photographed stepping out in Los Angeles without his family.

At the time, Ryan was seen grabbing some food with a close pal at Little Dom’s in the Los Feliz neighborhood of California. Days prior, Eva was snapped enjoy a sunny outing with her kids without Gosling.

In the past, Mendes admitted that she was not the type to consider having children. However, her views about having babies changed when she met and fell in love with Gosling.
