Look no further. Joey Thompson has everything you need to know about how to look like Ryan Gosling.

In an instructional video uploaded on Feb. 12, Thompson, an aspiring film producer, breaks down a five-step journey to looking like the famous Canadian actor.

Thompson's tips include getting a new wardrobe, a more-GQ-than-grizzly display of facial hair, sticking to small smiles (thin and simple) and keeping your head of hair under a hoodie.

Now, the Gosling lookalike is aiming for national television: The Ellen Degeneres Show.

On the same day his instructional video was picked up by several Web sites, Thompson has been campaigning to be on the popular talk show.

Everyone tweet the link of the video @theellenshow and tell her I want to be on it and meet Ryan. I know we can do this #teamwork, he wrote on Twitter, later adding a link to the form on the Ellen Web site.

Fresh off a hot movie year (thanks to Crazy, Stupid Love, The Ides of March and Drive), Gosling has been spending time in Bangkok, Thailand. The 31-year-old Canadian actor has been busy working on Only God Forgives, marking his second project with Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn.
