Ryan Reynolds took to Twitter Wednesday to share a photo from his upcoming Apple Original movie "Spirited," which also stars Will Ferrell.

"Day 1 shooting with one of my comedy idols, Will Ferrell. You'd barely notice this was an @Apple movie!" the 44-year-old "Deadpool" star wrote in the caption.

"Also iOS 14.6 will begin installing in 7 seconds," Reynolds added, taking a dig at Apple's operating system. In the photo, the actor could also be seen wearing Apple Airpods.

Fans took to the comments section to share their reactions to Reynolds' post.

One of his fans wrote, "This is secretly Deadpool 3 and Ferrell has joined the MCU."

Another fan commented, "It will be a tough ask to watch. You are incredibly funny and talented but Will Ferrell.......isn't. Most of his humor is puerile 14 year-old-boy."

A Twitter user noted that "Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard" had been disappointing for many fans and hoped Apple would put more effort into this project. "I hope Apple puts in more effort than whoever was responsible for Hit man's bodyguard's wife... That was a cartoon. What happened?" the user wrote.

Considering how close the actors' faces were in the photo, one of the fans commented, "I bet it takes weeks of one on one private sessions of Will Farrell getting up close in your face to learn not to laugh instantly Rolling on the floor laughing should get an Oscar for that alone lol."

"Spirited," which is an adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic novel "A Christmas Carol," is helmed by Sean Anders and John Morris. It also stars Octavia Spencer and Sunita Mani in key roles.

The production of the movie began in Boston and Tuesday's scene was filmed at the Fairmont Copley Plaza. Hollywood filmmakers had used the same location for filming "Little Women," "The Firm," "Bride Wars" and "American Hustle."

Reynolds will be next seen in the action-comedy movie "Free Guy," which is slated for release on Aug. 11. The movie also stars Jodie Comer, Twitch streamer Pokimane, Irish YouTuber Jacksepticeye, Joe Keery and Taika Waititi. The actor will also appear in Rawson Marshall Thurber's dark comedy "Red Notice," which also features Gal Gadot and Dwayne Johnson.
