SAG Awards 2012 in Los Angeles: Light vs. Dark-Hued Red Carpet Gowns (PHOTOS)
White vs. dark hues seemed to be the trend on the red carpet at the 18th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG) that took place in Los Angeles on Sunday.
While some of the leading ladies of the U.S. entertainment industry sported a sleek, slim look in black gowns, an equal number of them flaunted neutral hues.
SAG Awards honor performances in television and motion pictures across different categories. Honored with individual awards for 2012 were Viola Davis, Jean Dujardin, Christopher Plummer and Octavia Spencer for performances in motion pictures, and Alec Baldwin, Steve Buscemi, Paul Giamatti, Jessica Lange, Betty White and Kate Winslet for performances on the television.
The awards, based on votes from nearly 100,000 active members of Screen Actors Guild across the U.S., also honored “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2” and “Game of Thrones” for outstanding performances by a stunt ensemble in film and television, a unique category in the award.
