Salma Hayek Shares Secret To Glowing Skin
Salma Hayek’s flawless complexion is the result of age-old wisdom passed down to her by her mother and grandmother. The 48-year-old actress said that she never goes to bed without washing her face. That’s the secret to her glowing and radiant skin.
The actress said she is very conservative about her beauty regimen. Hayek swears by Nuance’s Flawless Finish Liquid Foundation, which she's promoting a line of, and a good, old-fashion beauty routine. “I don’t really take big risks when it comes to beauty. I think a big risk is plastic surgery,” she admitted to People.com. That’s not to say she wouldn’t consider it in the future though, but she is not keen about it now.
The actress said that she doesn’t believe in Botox. She said she is sad about the fact that when people do it when they are young, it destroys them. Hayek had a word of caution for all young girls that Botox will not do any good for them. If they start doing it when they are young, they will have to continue doing it and the process will be endless. The actress advises that if someone has to get Botox done then the later, the better, according to People.
The brunette beauty also prefers air-drying her hair over blow-drying it. She would rather show off her cleavage than a little leg. Also, she can never be seen in flats — she’s a heels girl all the way.
Hayek has a makeup, skin, and hair line at CVS. Launched in 2011, “Nuance Salma Hayek” is the gorgeous actress’ first foray into the beauty industry. It is a huge line, with around 100 products. Hayek said she was inspired to launch her own cosmetics line because of her grandmother, a cosmetologist who was known for making homemade beauty products.
Every Nuance product is paraben-free, cruelty-free and is full of high-end botanicals like shea butter, calendula, blue agave extract, and Tepezcohuite, she said. Additionally, the minimalist packaging is made of recycled material, giving everything a chic, spa-quality feel.
