Salma Hayek thinks her daughter is growing up so fast, so she shared a throwback pregnancy photo when she was still expecting her a day before her 13th birthday.
Hayek's daughter with husband François-Henri Pinault, Valentina Paloma, turned 13 on Monday. Over the weekend, the celebrity mom took to Instagram and shared a topless photo of her with her bare baby bump to commemorate the event.
In the snap, Hayek wears nothing on top and just a white skirt. She covers her modesty by placing her hands on her breasts.
“Tomorrow the tiny baby that formed inside my womb officially becomes a teen. They grow so fast,” she wrote in the caption.
The "Frida" star shared another throwback photo on Valentina's actual birthday. In the snap, she is carrying baby Valentina in her arms. Hayek accompanied their intimate photo with a sweet message for her now-teenaged daughter.
"Valentina, I never wished for someone to exist as much as I wished for you to come into my life," she wrote.
"Thank you for showing up thirteen years ago on a day like today, 'Peace Day', to illuminate our lives. You are my greatest teacher, my greatest joy and my greatest hope. I loved you before you were born and I’ll love you forever. Happy birthday, my shining star.”
Hayek's emotional post for her daughter was flooded with warm greetings from other celebrities who also wished Valentina a happy birthday.
"Can’t believe she’s 13!! Sending love," Suki Waterhouse commented.
"Happy birthday Reina Valentina!" Zoe Saldana added.
"Happy Birthday Valentina Love, Tony and Stella," Anthony Hopkins wrote.
Hayek was 41 when she welcomed Valentina in 2007. She put on 50 pounds during her pregnancy but had no regrets about it, Us Weekly reported.
"I gained so much weight, I got an opportunity to see myself completely disfigured in many different ways — for a very good reason — and I don’t regret it for a second," she said.
"That’s when I started appreciating my body. The things that I used to criticize, they were not that bad after all."
