Sam Asghari Not Anxious To Know The Gender Of His Baby With Britney Spears

Sam Asghari has revealed he does not want to know the sex of his first baby with Britney Spears. In an interview with Access Hollywood Wednesday, he explained why he’s not anxious to know whether their baby on the way is a girl or boy.

Opening up about being a father for the first time and whether or not they wanted to know the gender of their baby ahead of time, Asghari said, “This is my baby. My first baby. That is up to her, I don’t want to know.”

“That is something I want to wait for… if it is a daughter it is gonna be the most spoiled princess ever. If it’s a son, it is going to be the toughest son ever,” he continued, adding, he wanted to be a hands-on dad as much as possible.

The interview comes just a couple of weeks after Spears took to Instagram to announce her pregnancy. Posting a photo of pink flowers and a tea set, she wrote, “I am having a baby… 4 days later I got a little more food pregnant. It’s growing!”

“If 2 are in there, I might just lose it. I obviously won’t be going out as much due to the paps getting their money shot of me like they unfortunately already have,” she continued.

She went on to share her thoughts about perinatal depression, which she said she experienced while pregnant with her boys Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, whom she shares with ex Kevin Federline.

“I have to say it is absolutely horrible. Women didn’t talk about it back then, some people considered it dangerous if a woman complained like that with a baby inside her, but now women talk about it every day. Thank Jesus we don’t have to keep that pain a reserved proper secret. This time I will be doing yoga every day!” she wrote.

Asghari also took to his Instagram page to share a picture that seemed to be in reference to his fiancee’s post, writing, "Marriage and kids are a natural part of a strong relationship filled with love and respect."

"Fatherhood is something I have always looked forward to and I don’t take it lightly. It is the most important job I will ever do."
