Samsung Galaxy A9, A8, A7, A5, A3 (2016): Specifications, Features, Release Date Details Surface

Samsung is now rumored to be working on successor models for metal-clad Galaxy A phones like Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A8. Rumors are also indicating that the Galaxy A9 will be a new addition to the Galaxy A series smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy A9

The Samsung Galaxy A9 is rumored to come with specs like 5.5-inch full HD screen, a Snapdragon 620 SoC and 3 GB of RAM. It will carry internal storage of 32 GB and carry support for microSD card of 128 GB, GSM Arena reported.

The rear shooter of the handset will able to shoot 4K resolution videos. The LTE modem will allow users to perform downloads at 300 Mbps.

Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016)

Times News UK has revealed that Galaxy A8 (2016) is all in the works. It is likely to come with 5.7-inch full HD screen, Exynos 7420 chipset and 2 GB of RAM. It will support an internal storage of 32 GB. The rear camera of Galaxy A8 (2016) will be of 16-megapixels and it will house a 3,050 mAh battery.

The original model that was released this year sports a slim profile of 5.9 mm. Speculations are rife that the purported handset will be measuring 5.68 mm in thickness.

Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016)

Another report from Times News UK, the Galaxy A7 (2016) has passed TENNA certification process in China. It has been found that the handset will be coming with 5.5-inch full HD display and 3 GB of RAM.

Rumors are indicating that it will be coming in two CPU flavors like Snapdragon 615 and Exynos 7580 SoC. The rear camera of the device will be of either 13-megapixel or 8-megapixel. On the front, it will be housing a 5-megapixel. It will be coming with an internal storage of 16 GB.

Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016)

The Galaxy A5 has received Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification in the U.S. An unofficial photo of the handset has surfaced that indicates that Samsung has repositioned the sensors when compared to original Galaxy A5 handset. Sam Mobile has reported that it will come equipped with a fingerprint scanner embedded in the Home button.

As far as the key specs of the Galaxy A5 (2016) are concerned, it will be arriving with 5.2-inch full HD screen, Exynos 7 family chip, 2 GB of RAM and internal storage of 16 GB. The rear and front camera of the Galaxy A5 (2016) will be of 12-megapixel and 4.7-megapixel.

Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016)

The FCC has also approved the Galaxy A3. It will be coming with 4.7-inch HD screen, Exynos 7850 chip and 1.5 GB of RAM. Other specs of the handset include 13-megapixel rear shooter, 5-megapixel selfie snapper and 2,900 mAh battery.

Since the 2016 editions of the Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 have been approved by certification bodies, these handsets are expected to release by January 2016. The Galaxy A8 was released three months. Hence, its release is expected to happen later in 2016. Lastly, the Galaxy A9 is expected to release as early as Dec. 1.
