Samsung has released its new lineup of Galaxy S20 smartphones in the market. The new Android phones are equipped with larger and improved sensors, a screen with high refresh and 5G support.
Here are some of the features in Samsung Galaxy S20 smartphones that are missing in Apple iPhones, via Business Insider.
- Storage – The base model of the latest Samsung Galaxy S20 packs a decent 128GB of storage while the base model iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 comes with 64GB space.
- 120Hz refresh rate – The refresh rate of the screens of Galaxy S20 series smartphones can be boosted up to 120Hz. It is higher than the 60Hz refresh rate of most smartphones available in the market. In the Apple landscape, only iPad Pros are capable of this, and the new iPhones did not come with this feature.
- Reverse wireless charging – Samsung introduced reverse wireless charging in the previous generation Galaxy S10 phones. Now, the new ones are also capable of executing reverse wireless charging.
- Onscreen fingerprint sensor – Apple made the bold move and ditched the fingerprint sensor with iPhone X in 2017 and introduced Face ID amid massive criticism. Samsung Galaxy S20 series phones come with a dedicated fingerprint sensor placed on the display. The Galaxy S20 phones also support facial recognition giving the users options to choose from.
- 5G connectivity – The entire series of Samsung Galaxy S20 supports 5G connectivity. However, it is surprising that the low-cost Galaxy S20 only supports mid-band networks, which are comparatively slower. Meanwhile, Apple iPhones are not 5G enabled at the moment. However, it is speculated that the iPhone 12 will come with 5G support.
- Zooming-in capability – Apart from including improved sensors in the camera setup, the Galaxy S20 sensors are capable of better zoom. The S20 and S20 Plus have up to 3X optical zoom. These phones are capable of pulling off 30X digital zoom. On the other hand, iPhone 11 has 5X digital zoom, and iPhone 11 Pro comes with 10X digital zoom and 2X optical zoom.
