Samsung Galaxy S3 Release Date, Features, Other Rumors Leaked
The Samsung Galaxy S3 is one of the most anticipated smartphones since the Galaxy Nexus, which launched last year. Although Samsung is yet to make an official announcement about the phone's release date, one well-connected industry insider has spilled the beans.
Russian tech blogger Eldar Murtazin, who is renowned for his pre-release gadget tips, says the phone will be out by April. More interestingly, Murazin claims to have his hands on the phone already.
HD resolution, 12 mpx camera, sw tweaks, android 4--I like my new phone. Eager to see official announcement in Barcelona, he tweeted.
He also hints towards an improved battery life, to cope with the additional power of the phone. Although Murtazin is well-connected in the tech industry and has been known to provide accurate tips, he doesn't have the cleanest track record and therefore his words should not be set in stone.
Samsung Galaxy S2 was heralded as one of the top smartphones of 2011 with powerful features packed into a slim case. Now Samsung enthusiasts are gearing up for the all-new Samsung Galaxy S3 model, which rumors suggest will be unveiled next month in Barcelona.
One of the most popular rumors is that Samsung will launch a 8GB entry-level version of its Android phone. The phone will have smaller memory, but come at a reasonable price compared with the larger model, according to a report published in Planet Insane.
Here's a roundup of rumors surrounding the phone:
Release Date: The phone is expected to be unveiled at the World Mobile Congress in February, meaning the S3 could be on sale as early as March, but recent insider tips are looking more toward an April release. The Samsung S2 came out at the beginning of April 2011.

Display: The S3 is expected to come with a larger screen than that of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, nearer to the 5-inch scale. It is rumored to have a SMOLED Plus screen with a 1280x720 resolution. If the phone comes with a S5K2P1 sensor, it will be able to capture 60fps HD video, and 8.3 megapixel images.
