Samsung has starting producing 4.65-inch Super AMOLED displays for its next generation Samsung Galaxy S3 phone, according to the Korean publication DDaily.

Both the Galaxy Nexus and the Samsung Galaxy S2 have Super AMOLED HD screens with PenTile displays, but the S3 is expected to be the first non-PenTile display with a 1280x720 resolution.

Tech Site BGR is speculating that the Samsung S3 will come with a 4.8-inch full HD display, but the Korean Daily claims that the screens currently in production are 4.65-inches.

The Galaxy S2 came with a 4.3 inch super AMOLED screen, which was heralded for its enhanced readability. Books, browsing and movies come across with more clarity on the S2, with vivid color and smoother graphics. It seems many consumers want a slightly bigger screen and even higher quality screen from the next generation phone to make the gaming and browsing experience much crisper.

Early predictions for the next Samsung Galaxy phone suggests it will come with quad core Samsung Exynos processor clocked at 1.5GHz or possibly the Exynos 4412.

With no official release date confirmed by Samsung, Galaxy fans are speculating that the phone will be released anytime between now and the summer.

The success of the S2 is said to be one of the biggest reasons behind the S3's delay; however, experts in the industry say the delay has also been caused by the slow roll out of the Ice Cream Sandwich software on the S2.
