Hardware specifications include a 5.1-inch display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, similar to most Galaxy S5 models. It also has an IP67 Ingress Progress rating, making it dust-resistant and water-resistant for up to 30 minutes in up to 1 meter of water, similar to the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, which is exclusive to AT&T (NYSE: T).
The Samsung Galaxy S5 will sell off contract for $650 or for $0 down and 24 monthly payments of $27.09 under Sprint’s Framily plan. An on-contract price for the device is currently not available.
The Galaxy S5 Sport will also support Sprint’s Spark network, which offered LTE speeds up to 60 megabits per second (Mbps) in select metropolitan areas.
