Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus Rumors: Phone Release Date Pushed Back a Week
Samsung has reportedly pushed back its previous rumored release date for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus from April 21 to April 28, according to VentureBeat.
There wasn’t a specific reason for the release date’s one-week delay, a source briefed on the company’s revised target told VentureBeat. Samsung is still expected to introduce the Galaxy S8 and S8+ on March 29.
The delayed release date could be good news for LG, which is expected to release its G6 worldwide at the beginning of April. The Galaxy S8 will compete with the LG G6.

The Galaxy S8 is expected to come with 5.7-inch display and could feature a dual-edge curved displays, thin bezels and no home button. The devices are rumored to come with smart assistant Bixby.
The Galaxy S8, which is rumored to be waterproof and dust resistant, is expected to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip and a 3,500mAh or a 3,750mAh battery. The Galaxy S8 is expected to come with 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard memory.
