Samsung Galaxy S8 Wireless Charging Issues Surface After Red Screen Trouble
Samsung Galaxy S8 might have opened to an enthusiastic response, but the phone seems to have been plagued with issues.
Last week, some users reported seeing red tints in the screen of the device. Samsung advised owners to adjust the color options on the phone and even offered to replace the device if the issue persisted.

Now, it seems that the device is suffering from a wireless charging issue. Some users started complaining Saturday that the Samsung fast wireless chargers are not working with the phone. The fast charging wireless pad is designed to charge the device quickly. When the users used the phone with a non-Samsung wireless charging pad, the phone charged, but at a slower speed designed for regular phones without the fast charging feature.
Basically, Samsung’s own old charging pads don’t work with the S8 and a non-Samsung charging pad doesn’t allow fast charging. This leaves the only recourse for consumers to buy a new, expensive, specialized S8 charging pad, even if they already own a fast charging pad.
Battery is tricky territory for Samsung, since the company has messed up in the past — many of its Note 7 devices exploded due to a battery fault, so it is possible that Samsung could have put in some safeguards for the S8 battery that might be responsible for the issues.

The issue might be causing the most trouble to users switching from the Samsung Galaxy S7 to the Samsung Galaxy S8. The assumption would be that the accessories that consumers purchased for the S7 would ideally work with its successor, but it seems that's not the case. If Samsung does not resolve issue, customers will have to shell out more on the top of what they already paid for the S8.
