Samsung Galaxy SII price drops, hints at iPhone 5 rival in August
The sudden price cut of Samsumg Galaxy SII by £70 hinted at the nearing arrival of the new iPhone 5 rival smartphone, Samsung Galaxy S II Plus.
The Galaxy SII is currently on sale at Amazon for £429.49 including free delivery and it has become the most wished handset for the retailer as it is both slimmer and lighter than any other smartphones and comes with some cool features.
Some of the attractive features that make it stand ahead of the smartphone crowd are 4.3-inch qHD capacitive Super AMOLED screen, complemented by a Samsung Exynos 4210 dual core system on chip clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage, Wi-Fi, an eight-megapixel camera with an LED flash, full HD recording and playback and a two-megapixel front facing webcam plus Android Gingerbread 2.3.3 with a layer of Touchwiz UI on top (v4.0).
The Samsung Galaxy II Plus is the new top-end smartphone, which will release in August-September with a faster processor than its predecessor.
It is an Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread powered phone with a 1.4GHz dual core Samsung Exynos SoC (Samsung Galaxy S ll features 1.2GHz), 1GB RAM along with Samsung’s own TouchWiz user interface.
