Samsung launches new S Series External Hard Drive Lineup, touch screen mobile
Samsung Electronics Co Ltd, the world's second-biggest maker of mobile phones on Monday said it has launched a new S Series External Hard of 160 GB density for the 1.8 inch S1 Mini drive, along with its new touch screen mobile as it plans to expand its current market amid economic environment.
Its new 160GB edition provides convenient backup with ease of handling, featuring an ultra-compact credit-card size casing, with its new “Pop” colors, Sweet Pink and Ocean Blue said C.H. Lee, vice president, storage sales & marketing, Samsung Electronics, with an extraordinary capacity for its small footprint.
It features low power, portability, convenience and eco-friendliness, and it has enhance its usability with Secretzone , SafetyKey, an auto backup, a capacity gauge, and sleep mode.
It also protects important files and data in the form of software-based AES-128bit or AES-256bit encryptions, while SafetyKey ensures the external drive’s data is securely locked with a password protection.
The S series has reached its record-breaking sales amid a global economic recession over the first half of the year, The Company said. Its monthly sales volume of the S1 Mini and S2 Portable has tripled since last December in line with its rising netbook and notebook sales.
Recently, Seoul-based Samsung’s introduces S Series external hard drives, the 1.8-inch 120GB S1 Mini and 2.5-inch 500GB S2 Portable 2.5 inch external hard drives.
Meanwhile, its new touch screen mobile also features full touch screen capability, a next-generation AM-OLED display screen and improved processor to deliver speedy mobile Internet access. Its thinner, consumes less power and has better image quality and than its traditional LCD screens.
