Samsung Launches Wireless Speaker Level Box Slim With 30 Hours Of Music Playback, Portable Printer Image Stamp At CES 2017
Samsung Electronics joined CES 2017 this week, and the South Korea tech giant did more than just show off its Galaxy A series installments. The electronics brand also showed off its new wireless speaker and new portable printer.
At CES 2017, Samsung showed off its newest addition to its “Level” branded Bluetooth speaker line. Called the Level Box Slim, this product is said to provide consumers an easier way to enjoy their favorite music while on the go. The device flaunts a compact design that makes it suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
The new Samsung device features an 8W speaker for balanced sound quality even when outside. It also has an integrated stand, so users can easily prop it up no matter where they are. The best part about its design is the IPX7 water-resistance property that allows it to withstand water from the rain or showers.
Samsung wrote on its Newsroom that the Level Box Slim provides up to 30 hours of music playback. Aside from its music-playing functionality, the device also has a microphone for voice and conference calls. The microphone has echo-cancellation and noise-reduction properties that allow for clear communication.
The wireless speaker — currently available in black, red and blue — can also function as a portable charger. Samsung stated that users can just connect their smartphone or tablet to the speaker and the latter devices could recharge their batteries right away. However, users should keep in mind that the speaker only comes with 2,600 mAh battery, so relying on it for a full charge is not a good idea.
Samsung also showcased a portable printer at CES 2017, and it is called the Image Stamp. This mobile printer is small it can fit inside the pocket. Samsung said it is the perfect companion for people who want instant photos while in a vacation, party or a family gathering.
Android Authority has learned that the Image Stamp can be connected via NFC or WiFi. Also, compared to other portable printers that make use of the 3:2 ratio, Samsung’s new portable printer uses 16:9, so printed photos look exactly like how they appear on the smartphone screen.
Early this week, Samsung made headlines for announcing the latest installments of its Galaxy A smartphone series. As per The Verge, the tech giant unveiled the Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 to the crowd at CES. The three handsets differ in terms of screen size and many other specs and features. What’s common among the three is the new USB Type-C port and the IP68 water and dust resistance certification.
