Samsung Reportedly Launching New Pair Of Level Wireless Headphones Alongside Galaxy S8
Samsung’s Galaxy S8 is probably the worst kept secret of 2017, with photos of the device already leaked online seemingly confirming previous rumors. Now it’s being reported that the company’s flagship smartphone will launch alongside a potential Apple AirPods rival.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to launch on March 29 this year instead of the annual Mobile World Congress in late February. The handset will be accompanied by a new pair of ANC headphones as part of Samsung’s Level line.
The new pair of headphones is said to be called the Level In ANC and it will be wireless. The Level In ANC wireless headphones are rumored to feature noise cancellation for better sound quality by blocking out ambient noise, according to Android Headlines.
Samsung is expected to launch its voice-activated digital assistant on the Galaxy S8. It’s possible that the new Level wireless headphones could have a functionality to activate the voice assistant, as pointed out by Phandroid. After all, Apple’s AirPods allows users to talk to Siri with a double tap.
As for what the new headphones will look like, there are no details regarding its appearance just yet. Samsung released the Gear IconX last year and those were completely wireless like the Apple AirPods.
However, these new rumored pair of wireless headphones are part of Samsung’s Level line which currently has an on-ear design (Level On Wireless PRO) or an around-the-neck design (Level U Pro Wireless). What is known for now is the new Level In ANC wireless headphones will come in red, green, black and silver color options, according to Phone Arena.
As for pricing, it’s being reported that the headphones will cost €130. If that’s true, then it would sell in the United Stated for around $140. It could also possibly sell for a full retail cost of $150.
